Day 1

  • Adelaide - Rawnsley Park
  • Depart Adelaide 0730hrs
  • Travel through the northern suburbs and the Adelaide Plains to the Clare Valley.
  • Visit the Sevenhill Winery and Church, South Australia's first winery.
  • Continue through the Southern Flinders Ranges to Hawker and Rawnsley Park.
  • Visit an Aboriginal rock art site.

  • Overnight : Rawnsley Park

Day 2

  • Rawnsley Park - Arkaroola
  • Travel through central Flinders Ranges Via Brachina and Parachilna Gorges.
  • Visit Wilpena Pound. Take an easy walk into the pound.
  • View Australian Wildlife at peace with nature.
  • View Pioneering Heritage of the area.
  • Arrive Arkaroola late afternoon

  • Overnight : Arkaroola.

Day 3

  • Arkaroola - Marree / Farina
  • Take the Ridge Top Tour and experience the most rugged part of the Flinders Ranges.
  • Travel to the western edge of the Flinders Ranges via Italowie Gorge
  • Visit Quandong Cafe,
  • Talc Alf , the Ochre Pits and historic Farina.

  • Overnight : Marree or Farina historic town site.


Day 4

  • Marree / Farina - William Creek / Coward Springs
  • Travel the Oodnadatta Track.
  • Visit Marree, Lake Eyre South, The Mound Springs and The William Creek Pub.

  • Overnight :  William Creek and have a cold beer with the locals or Coward Springs.

Day 5

  • William Creek / Coward Springs - Coober Pedy
  • Travel to Coober Pedy
  • View Australia's longest fence.
  • Visit Underground Motel, Umoona Mine and other Coober Pedy Sites
  • Underground accommodation (Twin Share)

  • Overnight :  Coober Pedy

Day 6

  • Coober Pedy - Kulgera
  • Travel along the Dingo (Dog) Fence
  • Visit the Breakaways
  • Travel Stuart (Explorer) Highway to Kulgera


  • Overnight : Kulgera or bush camp

Day 7

  • Kulgera - Uluru
  • Stop and view Mt. Connor another large monolith of central Auatralia.
  • Visit the cultural centre
  • Walks around Uluru, Valley of the winds walk at Kata Tjuta (The Olgas)
  • View sunset on Uluru

  • Overnight : Yulara

Day 8

  • Yulara - Kings Canyon
  • View Uluru sunrise before heading to Kata Tjuta to do the Valley of the Winds walk.
  • Travel to Kings Canyon and time permitting do the Canyon creek walk.

  • Overnight Kings Creek Station / Kings Canyon Resort.

Day 9

  • King Canyon - Alice Springs
  • Up early and do the Canyon Rim walk taking the "Lost City" and "Garden of Eden".
  • After walk and lunch we head for Alice Springs via the Mereenie loop and historic Hermansberg Mission.
