5 Days 5 Nights Tour
Day 1
- Adelaide - Woomera
- Depart Adelaide 0730hrs
- Travel through the northern suburbs and the Adelaide Plains to the Clare Valley.
- Visit the historic town of Kapunda, Sevenhill Winery and Church, South Australia's first winery.
- Continue through the Southern Flinders Ranges passing through the towns of Wirabarra, Melrose and Wilmington, before driving through the picturesque Horrocks Pass en-route to Port Augusta.
- Stopping in Port Augusta we visit the Wadlata Outback Centre to walk through the tunnel of time of the Flinders Ranges and Outback.
- On the outskirts of Port Augusta we begin our journey into the outback via the Stuart Highway (Explorer Highway)
- Travel to Woomera
- Overnight: Woomera
Day 2
- Woomera - Coober Pedy
- Visit the Woomera Heritage Centre to learn about the Australian Defence testing of weapons post the second World War during the years of 1948 - 1975.
- Continue along the Explorer Highway to Coober Pedy
- Stop and view an inland salt lake
- Spend the afternoon viewing the sites of Coober Pedy including an underground church, underground international hotel, a tourist mine while learning about the "Opal Bug" that has brought the people of Coober Pedy to this remote town in the outback in search of Australia's National Gemstone.
- Overnight: Coober Pedy Underground
Day 3
- Coober Pedy - Kulgera
- Experience the early morning views of the Breakaways the setting for many Australian and internatioanlly acclaimed movies like "Mad Max - Beyond Thunderdome", "Priscilla - Queen of the Desert", "Ground Zero", "Pitch Black", "Red Planet" and many more
- We continue our journey along the "Explorers Way" taking in the sometime dramatic changes in the landscape and remoteness as we penetrate further into outback Australia on our path toward Uluru.
- Overnight: Kulgera
Day 4
- Kulgera - Uluru / Kata Tjuta NP
- Early start continuing along the Stuart Highway then the Lasseter Highway to Uluru.
- Stop and view Mt. Connor another large monolith of the Red Centre.
- Spend the afternoon exploring the surrounds of Uluru and Kata Tjuta
- Learn about the history and culture of the local Anangu people.
- Experience the changing colours of Uluru during an outback sunset.
- Overnight Yulara
Day 5
- Uluru - Alice Springs
- Finish exploring Uluru.
- Return to Stuart Highway and head north to Alice Springs.
- Arrive Alice Springs 1800hr

Day 1

Day 4
Kulgera - Uluru Continuing along the Stuart Highway to Erldunda then head west along the Lasseter Highway to Uluru & Kata Tjuta. Spend the afternoon exploring the surrounds of Uluru and Kata Tjuta Learn about the history and culture of the local Anangu people. Experience the changing colours of Uluru under an outback sunset. Day 5
- Uluru – Kings Canyon
- Do some further exploration of the Kata Tjuta area taking the Valley of the Winds walk.
- Travel to Kings Canyon.
- Walk up into the Canyon visit the resort
- Overnight : Kings Creek Station/Kings Canyon Resort
Day 6
- Kings Canyon - Alice Springs
- Up early and do the Canyon Rim Walk.
- After the walk we head for Alice Springs via the Mereenie Loop road via the historic Hermansberg Mission.

- Coober Pedy - Kulgera
- Travel along the Dingo (Dog) Fence
- Visit the Breakaways
- Travel Stuart (Explorer) Highway to Kulgera.

- Stop and view another large monolith of the Red Centre commonly thought to be Uluru.
- Visit the cultural centre
- Walks around Uluru
- View sunset on Uluru

Day 6
- Uluru - Kings Canyon
- Up early to view Uluru & Kata Tjuta sunrise.
- Then onto Kata Tjuta for the Valley of the Winds walk.
- Travel to Kings Canyon. Time permitting will take the easy walk into the canyon.
- Overnight : Kings Creek Station/Kings Canyon Resort
Day 7
- King Canyon - Alice Springs
- Up early and out to the canyon to do the Rim Walk to view the "Lost City" and "Garden of Eden".
- After the walk we head for Alice Springs via the Mereenie loop road via the historic Hermansberg Mission.
- Arrive Alice Springs 1800hr
**Alternative on this tour is to visit Arkaroola and do Ridgetop Tour instead of Kings Canyon.

- Take the Ridge Top Tour and experience the most rugged part of the Flinders Ranges.
- Travel to the western edge of the Flinders Ranges via Italowie Gorge
- Visit Quandong Cafe,
- Talc Alf , the Ochre Pits and historic Farina.
- Overnight : Marree or Farina historic town site.
Day 4
- Marree / Farina - William Creek / Coward Springs
- Travel the Oodnadatta Track.
- Visit Marree, Lake Eyre South, The Mound Springs and The William Creek Pub.
- Overnight : William Creek and have a cold beer with the locals or Coward Springs.
Day 5
- William Creek / Coward Springs - Coober Pedy
- Travel to Coober Pedy
- View Australia's longest fence.
- Visit Underground Motel, Umoona Mine and other Coober Pedy Sites

- King Canyon - Alice Springs

- Travel to Coober Pedy
- View Australia's longest fence.
